Forza Horizon 4 Review
1] Seasons Forza has tried to bring weather experience even better with Seasons. When you first start the game, you get a glimpse of all four seasons including Winter with Snow all around. The introduction phase is around four hours long followed by weekly rotations of seasons and it works even when you are playing offline. The details, colors, and contrast are very impressive and fun when you are driving around. When you play for a longer period, you could actually notice how weather changes around. Extending it further, you can see how lively is the wildlife around. That said, you can also use performance mode on Xbox One X which bumps up the framerate to 60 and sets the resolution at 1080p, with HDR. With these settings when you move around the different road types (wide, narrow, modern roadways), it’s just mesmerizing. 2] Horizon Life Drivatars came in FH3, but the only goal was to fill in the map with those AI based drivers of your friend’s profile. In FH4, the game wants more life players coming together. This is done through constant new events, time-limited championships that are delivered in weekly updates with new seasons. Along with this, you also get a fresh list of Forzathon challenges. It comes with rewarding currency, and exclusive cars and collectibles. If Forza is able to keep its promise to deliver free events every week, it will keep bringing back the gamers for new content. It won’t die off like another car racing game which everyone enjoys for a while and then leave.
3] Team Adventure When you are playing multiplayer, you can create your own team or join a random group. Once the team is created you can choose your circuits, races, season, weather, time of the day, and which class of cars is allowed. Once the team is ready, you can compete with another team, and compete. This adds another opportunity to bring live players together. You can play any way you want, crash into each other and win. 4] Earn Rewards Faster If you love driving around alone, you can earn awards by driving anyway you want to build up skill chains. Once you have the rewards, you can buy new cars and then keep using them to earn bonuses. This is probably the best part of Forz series now that you aren’t restricted to participate, but you are free to roam around, compete with whoever is on the road, and find hidden cars in the barn. Lastly, the Groove Music support is sadly gone because the service doesn’t exist anymore. It was one of my favorite feature of Horizon 3. 5] Cars The game offers 100 additional vehicles over its predecessor. That makes a total of 450 in the base game. What is even more impressive is that amount of detail you get which is very close to actual cars inside out.
